Pie, pie, I love pie...

Absolutely beautiful.  Pies by a girl from Utah.

Kathy's rolls

Now these I cannot take credit for, but have to share with you.  Kathy Ray, a simple gal from Utah,  makes these homemade rolls just about every time we get together for dinner.  They come right out of the oven warm and soft and then she melts real butter on top.    Every rolls is rounded to perfection, and I mean perfection.  She takes the time to make sure they are all the same size with no flaws at all.  We look forward to these at each family dinner we have with the Ray's.  We will miss them.

Baking bacon

Baking bacon in the oven cooks in about the same amount of time as frying in a pan and prevents that greasy mess all over the stove and floor.  It also prevents that familiar overpowering smell throughout the house and all over yourself that we dislike.

All I do is simply layer the bacon on foil placed on top of a lipped cookie sheet or baking dish, place in the oven at 400 degrees until you get the desired crispness you are looking for.  The crispness usually comes after the bacon has slightly cooled.  It's usually not crispy right out of the oven.

Clean up is a breeze, simply throw away the foil and wash off the cookie sheet.  Done.
